If you are like me, every time you see or hear something new about how stress is bad for you, you get a little jolt of adrenaline! With every new way I learn to help facilitate relaxation, I feel a tinge of worry about finding time to fit it in.
Find Your Relaxation Response
We all feel it, we all have it, and our ability to tolerate it is not consistent throughout our lives. Instead of influencing your stress response by reading this, I would rather invite you to spend 3 minutes finding your relaxation response.
If you have a favorite breathing exercise, take 3 minutes, right now and do it. If you do better with a visual aid, here’s an easy simple one. Your adrenal glands love routine and consistency, and finding the same 3 minute period every day to do this goes a long way!
